Titanic Escape Simulator Puzzles: What Is Confirmed
What kind of puzzles these are
The developer describes four types, and they are worth reading carefully because they set expectations that the game’s name does not:
- Environmental puzzles — solved by acting on the space, not by manipulating an abstract mechanism.
- Locked doors — opening them is a task in itself.
- Decoded clues — information found in one place applies somewhere else.
- Tools for access — items that open restricted areas of the ship.
This is adventure-game logic in a reconstructed 1912 liner, not an escape-room puzzle box. Several reviewers, including positive ones, make exactly that point about the title being misleading. On the puzzle difficulty itself, the recurring description in positive reviews is that they are not especially hard but do require thought.
Confirmed puzzle interactions
Three specific interactions can be named, because the developer named them in the Patch 1.0.1 notes while describing bugs around them.
The cargo hold crate → the First Class Lounge. The patch notes describe fixing the First Class Lounge door “after inspecting the crate in the cargo hold” — players could previously walk through the closed door. That confirms a sequence: something you do to a crate below decks changes the state of a first class door above.
Sinclair’s Room doorknob. The notes describe a progression-blocking issue where inspecting the doorknob in Sinclair’s Room could lock the player in place. A second entry describes the flashlight being toggled during “the Sinclair’s Room doorknob sequence” restoring camera movement while movement stayed disabled. So: the doorknob is a scripted sequence, not a simple open-door prompt, and the flashlight is usable during it.
The chess board that was removed. One line in the patch notes reads simply that an incorrect chess board was removed. Whether it was a puzzle object placed in error or a set-dressing mistake is not stated. If you played before 26 August 2026 and remember a chess board, that is what happened to it.
The flashlight
Confirmed as a toggleable item by the patch notes. In a game whose final act features failing lights, that is a puzzle tool as much as a light source.
Why there are no solutions on this page
Because this site does not have a source for them that it can stand behind, and inventing puzzle solutions is the fastest way to make a guide worthless. Every specific fact above traces to the developer’s own patch notes; nothing else about the puzzles is documented publicly.
What you will find in other places online is often a paraphrase of a paraphrase. If you are stuck, the most useful thing to check first is not a walkthrough but whether you are on version 1.0.1 — several of the launch-window “I am stuck” reports were the doorknob bug, which is a progression lock, not a puzzle. See patch notes.
When verified solutions exist, they will be added here with their source attached.
Where puzzles sit in the game
The investigation levels are where most of them live — Levels 1 through 6, between boarding and the iceberg. The sinking act shifts from puzzle-solving to route-finding under pressure, covered on the sinking survival page.
The full level structure, with completion rates, is on the walkthrough.
